I would be careful with that suggestion. The human jaw is capable of impressive pressure, especially when in pain. Biting on a mouthguard, a sterile piece of leather or something similar is a good idea. Your finger is not.

It seems to me that punishment would be the only way if you have not succeeded in controlling it yourself. You probably crave him to be like 'if you cry I will give you something to cry about' or something along those lines.

New here, too. I've never been slapped hard, and not sure I would enjoy that or be able to not verbally react. I've had my ass and face slapped to the point it stings, and I enjoy that during sex, but it didn't require a verbal response. Having said that, at times I would react by fake crying just because I think he wanted me to cry.
