Something I've noticed

i'm extremely grateful to have found this online community. i was just thinking about this last night. i don't know how this one cropped up so quickly, but i'm glad it did b/c i had been looking for something like this for a really long while and just sort of stumbled across it on google.

yeah, me too hehe. the first site i tried was seekdiscipline.com, and it was a good site, but its extremely outdated, and for the most part inactive. theres alot of "older" bdsm practitioners there, and nobody is really friendly or welcoming.

when i checked the "new topics" i found that some of them were up to 5 years old

so i began my google search for a better site, and thats how i found this place

What bothers me is the fact when some of the porn posters post in the wrong forum - especially if it's in the personals forum. It clutters it and makes it more difficult to know what to read, and pushes the relevant threads down. I wish they'd be removed to the right forum when it happens... so annoying. -_-;

Sparrow usually does that in a pretty timely manner. Because it's done with no notice or fanfare, most prople miss it. It's only when he's away or unable to take care of it that we even get a chance to notice it. I think he does a helluva job here.

Hmm, I'm sure that might be the case... but since I recently decided to come back to the forum, it's been fairly cluttered with them, at least among the more recent threads in that particular forum (personals). As I haven't been around much before now, I guess I assumed it seems that might be the case. But I'm happy to hear it normally isn't.

I wasn't complaining, by the way... I've been an administrator on an, at the time, fairly big forum, and I must say I didn't like it... too much stress for little appreciation.

In all honesty, D, I haven't looked at the personals so I could be wrong about that thread. I can see where marketers would find that particular thread interesting.

I do tend to miss things on occasion, I will admit, however i do try very hard to stay on top of things. If you see one that has slipped passed me, hit the report button, and it will alert me to it. With a community as active as this one is, and with as many posts as we get per day new, sometimes one or two will slip through the cracks.

To each their own for what their tastes are. I am here mainly for the conversations, to learn and give what info or thoughts that I have. But there is nothing wrong with seeing what others have to post and contribute. It isn't as easy as most think to find links to post. One appreciates sites that don't leave spam, popups, or all around wreak havoc on ones PC.

Some people find it very hard to open up and comment. The fear of being ridiculed or being considered an idiot would stop most. As for not wanting to post cause it has been posted before, nothing wrong with adding another idea. Normally as one is typing the same idea can be there but expanded on.

I understand how Sparrow69 feels. I used to be a Link Specialist Mod on a erotic comics forum. It is definitely not easy to keep up with it all. Just about the time you go through all the links you have to start all over again. It is a never ending battle. I commend you Sparrow for all the hard work that you do.
