I've just been reading this thread and haven't had much to say, but one option with your pet seeking a new Dom after would be to help her find a way out of her marriage so that wasn't a worry, and/or to help her find a new Dom who will be safe for her. Go to a couple meetings or sessions with her, or meet him first, or set her up with someone you know.
You also might encourage her to seek counselling, as she is clearly unhappy in her marriage (at least, most of what you've said about angry alcoholic husband has pointed to that) and, as you said, she is damaged as you. It might help her be more confidant in herself to be able to get another Dom who won't abuse her, and be another outlet to get away from her husband.
