I'm going to have to say, I think it's a bad idea. I didn't read every response and the fact that Sparrow considers it safe is a plus - I consider him to be experienced and a good authority.
However, the ginger insertion is going to extend beyond your session, possibly well beyond the session to a point where it's going to be negative. Burns, caning and so on, hurt for days after a session, if you're not into those things I would think anything that extends thatfar passed a session wouldn't be a good idea.
