Man that's crazy, I've never heard that! I though using spit was just something people do it porn (gay or not gay) because... well I don't really know why
But even after hearing that, I'm not sure I feel comfortable using spit when it needs to be nice and lubed up. Buying a flavored lube isn't all that hard/expensive (especially when you split the cost between two people!). Oh my gosh and they're so fun and weird and flavored!!

Sparrow, while I'm sure you're right for vaginal sex (I don't have any personal experience there, mind you...), but for anal sex I'm dubious. Spit works for the vagina in part because the vagina naturally lubricates itself. But the anal canal isn't self-lubricating, and pre-cum doesn't provide enough lubrication (or any, if you're using a condom). My own experience with anal sex, both as a top and a bottom, makes me very doubtful that spit would work for anything other than a very rough ride. Lube is far better for anal than spit if you want any real degree of comfort.

Spit is extremely sexy, as long it is the sub who gets to droll.

Gagball in and droll on the dick when it is time for penetration, much better than fiddling around with commercial lube or using nothing at all.

BUT, when it comes to Anal sex i prefer the commercial lube, since there just aren't enough of a quantity in spit unless you use half an hour to spit in a glass.
