I'm with Sparrow on this one.... You may have really brought up something I/we just never considered (I know I didn't).

I've been thinking about your question ever since I first responded. Since you didn't respond right away I had to use my imagination. It got real good real fast.

It could be that this could be done more simply if you aren't looking for blackout (blindout) lenses. I know that some of the theatrical blackout lenses do block quite a bit of light.
I believe that there are also light blocking lenses for those with very sensitive eyes. You wouldn't get total blindness in outdoor lighting, but in evening or candle lit places it would be pretty total, and that would work for me.

I will keep looking and let you know what I find also.

This sounds like a great idea :)

However, if the wearer was bound face down for a session while wearing these, wouldn't the contacts fall out?

The other night it felt like my contact was going to pop out of one of my eyes. I was bent over trying to pick something up, but what hesitating to grab it lol. It was a 'dead' mole, we don't know if it was fake or real, but my brother wanted me to pick it up with a bag and while I was bent over about to pick it up, a lot of blood was rushing to my head and I could feel my eyes starting to water (because I was running shortly before this so my pulse and such was still very high). It felt like one of my contacts was going to fall out of my eye so I just blinked and stood back up.

This story may or may not answer your question lol, but yes I think it is possible, especially if blood rushes to the wearer's head during the session.

Yes they would be noticable as it would look like you have blackholes in your eyes lol.

Depending on whether they are 'normal' contacts where they cover only slightly past the irises or full-sclera contacts where they cover.. the sclera, they will look either like http://www.discount-lenses.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/eyes.jpg or http://contacts-411.com/BlackSclera.jpg.

The contacts may be even darker than in the first image. However, the only part that needs to be blocked for the blindfold contacts is the pupil area. They make appear normal to others if only the pupil region is blacked out. But to cover the entire pupil region it will need to be larger than normal since the absence of light causes the pupils to dilate. So it will look like your eyes are constantly dilated.

Any way you get them it will look freaky lol, but the last option is the least noticable or conspicuous if that is what you're after. If anybody comments you can just say you're 'victim' came back from the eye doctor so their pupils are dilated lol.
