It is fast so I imagine the pain is over within seconds. I don't remember any of mine even hurting at all but I have a pretty high pain tolerance. I have had 3 pretty major surgeries and threw out the percocet after a week. I would rather have a bit of pain then having my head in a drug induced haze.

But sadly there is not a piercing I can stand. I react even to the hypoallergenic. I have been told to try coating the ring with clear nail polish, So I may try that when I am up to pushing the post through to reopen the piercings again.

My 6 year old asked to have her ears pierced. I told her sure, she then asked how it was done.. I wasn't going to lie so I told her. She had a look of horror on her face and said nevermind. She will bring it up now and then and I assure her that it is over before she even feels it. I have heard that going to a tattoo parlor and having a real needle instead of the gun is better. But I am not sure if that is fact or someone's opinion.
