One more idea
A while ago I made a small zapper from electric flyswatter. You may find it interesting.
First you cut the "racket" part from the handle. Be carefull not to cut also the wires (or detach the wires first)
Now you have two options.
1. Use the original part from the swatter (the yellow part) . On the top glue (superglue) a piece of plastic and two contacts from an old power plug, to which attach the wires (tey usually allready have appropriate holes and screws, so you only have to tighten the wires with screws).
2. Or you can purchase in the nearest harware shop a new plug and superglue it to the handle (not forgetting to attach also the wires ) and there you have a new design of the same device :
I know that in some countries use the plugs with three contacts, so in such case you should remove the surplus contact.
It is not something extreme, but is a nice toy to play with
