Description: Euro-sleazemeister Jess Francoâ€™s Devil Hunter (or El Canibal as the title card suggests) takes viewers on a jungle-esque journey with one of his takes on the cannibal film. The movie begins with international film star Laura Crawford (Ursula Fellner, Sadomania) gallivanting around as reporters and the paparazzi flock to her. This introduction into her lavish lifestyle, however, is short-lived. Just after settling into her hotel Miss Crawford is drugged and whisked away to an island where her kidnappers hold her for a 6 million dollar ransom. Enter Peter Westin (Al Cliver, Zombie, The Beyond) who is hired to rescue her from her captors. Equipped with a bag of mostly funny money, he and his helicopter pilot Jack (Robert Foster, Cannibal Terror) head to the island for the big swap. The exchange goes awry when a gunman is signaled, causing the helicopter to crash, but enabling Laura to escape from her kidnappers clutches. The problem now is Peter must find the girl on this island while not only fending off the captors, but also something more ominous. The island is also home to a ritualistic tribe of cannibalistic crazies led by a naked black dude deity, with bulging bloodshot eyes who also has a taste for nubile young flesh. Will they get off the island alive, or will they end up sacrificial remains?

It seems that just about any territory director Jess Franco steers into, he is able to unleash a bunch of entertainment from within a sloppy mess. Devil Hunter is a prime example. The film is a mishmash of sequences. Itâ€™s basically a ransom story intercut with random footage of ritualistic ceremonies, prancing naked women, and a big black naked godlike character with ping pong ball eyes eating human parts, splashed with bright red paint blood. Mix in some goofy dubbing (particularly that of Robert Fosterâ€™s character), splice it all together and you have Devil Hunter.

Devil Hunter is over-the-top pure sleaze and should be experienced if you are even remotely a Francophile. Just about every woman in the film is naked or half naked. Without explanation women are even introduced in the film naked -- thereâ€™s a scene on a boat where a chick interacts naked with Cliver and Foster as if talking to strange men intruding on your boat is completely normal. Franco even throws in some extreme close-ups of female genitalia for good measure. To be fair, Franco does include that naked black dude throughout the film, including an incredibly awkward scene which has Cliver wrestling the naked black flip-flopping deity. Poor Alâ€¦

Description: The semblance of horror and pornography was gaining popularity in the mid 70â€™s. As mentioned in Severed Cinemaâ€™s recent review of Slaughter Disc, European horror filmmakers such as Joe Dâ€™Amato, and Jess Franco were embracing hardcore XXX scenes in their work. However Europe wasnâ€™t the only continent demonstrating full-blown horror porn. Across the sea in North America, the US was also making their mark as horror porn sleaze peddlers. The best and most prominent sickie of this forbidden sub-genre is best known in the underground as Hardgore.

Maria (Justina Lynn) is a troubled girl. She is an uncontrollable nymphomaniac who is brought to Fox Hollows Sanatorium under the care and supervision of Dr. George (John Seeman, Inside Desiree Cousteau). She is hastily put into therapeutic care by way of her sexy nurse who seduces Maria, with her tight ass. The remedy begins with some double beaver humpage, finished with a shower cunnilingus scene and more bushy delights. Later that day boredom strikes young Maria, and upon further inspection of her room she finds a couple vibrators to play with and chooses one. â€œLook at the size of that lovely thingâ€ she says. â€œOh well might as well take advantage of it.â€ Allowing the viewer more untainted eroticism before the bloodbath.

That night Maria is awakened to find the nurse with her throat slit. Distressed, she runs down the hallway (while naked) to escape but is captured and brought into a room. After some very bizarre visuals she appears on a table and is forced to suck the cocks of two men adorned in white cloth masks. There are women present that fondle her while she is busy. Whilst mid-blowjob, one of the menâ€™s penises is lopped off replacing the inevitable cumshot with a bloodshot. Nice!

The next morning Maria awakens to find Dr. George and a new nurse at her bedside. A boom mic is blatantly present during this scene, and I began to wonder if it was going to be used for â€œtherapeuticâ€ purposes. Dr. George dismisses what happened that night saying that Maria was in fact running the halls harassing fellow patients. When asked about her nurse, Dr. George claims she left that morning. The thought of escaping is also shut down when Maria finds out that Fox Hollows is secured by an armed guard and dog. This causes Maria to quickly find solace in her new nurseâ€™s pussy, in a sequence that goes down in literary comedic history. Her nurse uses an electric vibrator and when it starts to shoot smoke she shouts the hilarious dialog â€œCall my motherâ€, â€œcall a doctorâ€, and â€œcall the fire department.â€

The nights continue to bring orgies of the damned, organized by a man wearing a large devil mask over his face. While chanting unknown satanic gibberish he likes getting his dick sucked, which results in many an enormous female facial. The ritualistic orgies get more intense with chicks guillotined while being fucked from behind just prior to orgasm to heighten their sadistic pleasure. If Maria doesnâ€™t escape soon, she will end up one of the dead Horror Whoreâ€™s!

Hardgore is an insanely bizarre little romp into XXX horror territory. Director Michael Hugo shows a distinct visual style of horror porn separate from his European counterparts. Hugo manages to push boundaries by including some absolutely insane scenes like talking penises, the guillotine orgasm fuck and the severed penis blowjob as mentioned earlier. He even throws in some necrophilia and dead chicks â€˜n chains for good measure. Hardgore depicts blood soaked sleaze in a distorted psychedelic environment which is aided by the filmâ€™s use of electro grooves that linger as background music. See the phantom flying dildos spraying sparks and gallons of cum over unsuspecting Maria. Not settling there Hugo also attempts to portray his artistic flair throughout his various hardcore sequences. The continuous camera rotation while a couple has sex is a prime example.

Hardgore is a truly unique 70â€™s obscurity and masterpiece of filth cinema. If you havenâ€™t already delved into true American sleaze like this you wonâ€™t know the joy of bent candles in moist places.

1981 Spanish/W German video by Jess Franco, rejected in September 1994 with the following justification:
A Women's prison video in which the female prisoners were coerced, degraded and brutalised. The treatment in Sadomania was often vicious in the extreme, with gladiatorial combat to the death between naked prisoners, the torture of a prisoner by sticking needles into and around her nipples, the hunting down of a naked woman with guns and dogs, and the rape of a bound and screaming naked prisoner by an Alsation dog, viewed by the governor and his wife as a sexy turn-on.
Sadomania is the infamous Women in Prison flick by the king of ultra low budget exploitation films, Jesus Franco.
The ridiculous plot has a newly wed young couple, who are kidnapped during their journey as they drive their wedding car somewhere in Spain. They are taken to the nearby women prison, led by sadistic lesbian warden (the late Ajita Wilson) and some sleazy governor and his wife, and despite the fact that the prison girls/women work hard there, their real reason to be there is to satisfy these leaders' bottomless sexual desires and perversions. Poor women are raped and abused, in the guaranteed Franco style, but it all ends happily for the protagonists and evil and horny sadists meet their fate, again Franco style.
This film is okay if one happens to like these kind of "guilty pleasures" with huge amount of nudity and love making. The sleaze-o-meter is taken as high as possibly.
Sadomania is noteworthy piece of Franco cinema, and shot with his usual zooms and beautiful images of nature, stained only by the presence of the film's ugly and evil protagonists.

This falls into the so horrendous its ok category. This, the second, in the so called ‘Ginger’ trilogy is worth tracking down… especially if you plan on having a few drinks before watching it. The plot revolves around a super sexy swinging secret agent named Ginger (played by sexpot Cheri Caffaro), think of her as a female James Bond.
Ginger is called into duty to stop an evil mastermind who is kidnapping cheerleaders and selling them as sex slaves to rich business men… but first he has to “educate” them in the world of sexual satisfaction so that they will be worth their high price tag. The education takes the form of verbal and physical degradation. This “softcore” film features some decent SM themes.
Technically this flick is shit. It looks like it was shot through a pair of soiled underwear. There are horrible focus pulls and some of the worst zooming I’ve ever seen… but there is some charm here. The acting is relatively sub-par. Standouts include Jeramie Rain (from Last House on the Left fame), who plays one of the cheerleaders and William Grannel (who seems to be Judd Hirsch’s dopelganger) who plays Ginger’s boss, Jason Varone. The dialog ranges from awesome to painful and the flicks coda seems right out of an episode of Charlie’s Angels.
