But if it can do that to the anus, it can probably do something equally unpleasant to the vagina. That's why I recommended ginger--unless she's allergic to it, it will cause pain without causing lasting harm. And it smells wonderful.
I agree with Sebastian, ginger is a great way to go. In terms of the peppers, make sure you stear clear of the urethra. The tiniest drop of juice can mean a world of pain (and not the good kind) for a while. Speaking from experience here, took about an hour for the pain to ebb. I haven't had peppers near there since!
