Description: I enjoyed this one! It's a good old fashion Nazisploitation and has a decent plot. It's almost a women in cages movie but with a nazi twist. These doctors do weird and horrible experiments on female prisoners but there are two doctors who are trying to shut the whole operation down. What I remember the most is this odd perverted guy named Kurt running around trying to rape and molest women the whole entire time. I'm not sure if he is suppose to be retarded or a experiment himself, but he is funny and the comic relief of the film. I'm not sure if the film makers intended on him being funny, but it's too late. He's hilarious!

Description: A White Slavery Trade business is operating in a private ranch somewhere deep in The Amazon. The man in charge of this business, Edgar (Looking a bit like Lemmy from MOTORHEAD) appears content with the success he's been having. But he's recieving flack from his partner-in-crime (Who happens to be his wife) on ditching this idea before they eventually get caught. Neighboring Edgar's mansion is the "Amazon Jail" where the women are being imprisoned (Which is no more than a wooden shack) Inside the jail, the character of "Betty" is planning a break-out. The plans for a break-out aren't far-fetched given that Edgar's nephew is in love with Mary and will help her and the other girls succeed in getting out. When the date is set for the escape, the nephew tells Mary to meet him at the "Gold mine" loacted deep inside the jungle. The problem is that both the nephew and Betty have never been to the Gold Mine before, so it's no surprise that there won't be no yellow brick road to help out in this destination for our half-naked escapists!

Having been familiar with Oliveira's previous Women-In-Prison flick, Bare Behind Bars, I was expecting to see more of the same with this Amazon Jail. Sure, we got plenty of oversexed themes to feast on, as well as tons of nudity, to satisfy those who want the most in their sleaze. But the explicitness of that previous movie has been toned WAY down for this one. Nothing to report on the shock value here. But one thing I do want to point out that does manage to be a little bit of a "shock". And that's if you know your WiPs, you know that the film always has to conclude with the explosive and action-packed revolt/escape. But in this movie, the escape occurs a lot earlier than one is used to seeing. This means that the viewer could be in store to see something new and special ahead towards the climax. Instead, it's clear the filmmakers just ran out of ideas once the girls are set free. The jungle-survival angle falls flat and the untrustworthy gold-diggers that the girls eventually run into don't provide any threatening menace. If there are a few things that I happened to like about this movie, it would be the slightly-innocent way of handling the slave-trade business (The girls seem to only be used for providing some pleasing, sexy dances for their clients) and that the english dub tends to be a riot (Just because a few characters resemble U.S. southerners in wardrobe and setting, this means that they're given southern drawls. Yuk-Yuk!) but I wouldn't be sure if that's enough to have this one ranked as a treasure in the beloved Women-In-Prison genre.

Description: Gradiva (C'est Gradiva quit vous appelle) was the final film of Alain Robbe-Grillet (writer:Last Year at Marienbad, director and writer:Trans-Europ-Express). As one might expect from a work written and directed by Robbe-Grillet, Gradiva explores the blurred lines between reality and fantasy, and eroticism and violence.

In Gradiva, a historian named John Locke (James Willby) travels to Morocco to research the paintings of Delacroix for a book. While there, Locke becomes aware of two lost Delacroix sketchbooks from the artist's six month stay in Morocco. Locke becomes obsessed with a woman (Arielle Dombasie) portrayed in the sketchbooks, and begins to see the woman everywhere he goes. His obsession leads him into the bizarre world of the Club of the Golden Triangle, a sadist's oasis where orientalist plays, bondage, and illegal acts take place. Mixed up in the intrigue is a young housekeeper named Belkis (Dany Verissimo) with whom Locker has an affair.

The film boasts a labyrinthine plot, which mixes Wilhelm Jensen's Gradvia with the story of Delacroix's time in Morocco. One might categorize the film as an erotic mystery but the traditional narrative markers are buried within layers of shifts in time and perspective. The narrative parallels and co-mingles the modern age with that of Romantic18th century visions of Morocco. For example, the relationship between John Locke and Belkis, whose dialog consists mostly of repeated utterances of "I don't know, monsieur," and "Yes, monsieur," is setup as an analogue to a relationship between a sultan and a harem girl. The story is rife with such parallels between modernity and the past.

There is a certain tension between the material and Robbe-Grillet's direction. Whereas one might expect a stylized approach to the subject matter, the direction is rather stagey as many scenes occur within four walls with simple setups. The film opens up when it hits the streets or other scenic locations. The stylistic approach leans on the actors to convey the dreamlike surrealism that the writing often seems to call for. Some of the acting putters at the edge of foppishness, which is arguably an artifact of some of Robbe-Grillet's florid dialog. However, the cast does a fine job of anchoring the scrambled narrative.

Description: Nazi Love Camp 27 (Italian: La svastica nel ventre) is a 1977 Italian Nazi exploitation film by western director Mario Caino starring Sirpa Lane. The film is notable for its truly grim scenes, dramatic plot and hardcore sex scenes.
The film opens with Anna and her German soldier boyfriend making love in a field in the days before the outbreak of World War II. Once the war has broken out, the Jewish Anna and her family are rounded up, but not before her mother is killed trying to defend the family. They are then taken to a concentration camp.
At the camp, Anna and a female companion are gang raped by SS soldiers, leading Anna's friend to throw herself on a barbed wire fence out of despair. Soon after, Anna is forced to work in the "love camp" section of the camp, servicing SS soldiers. The commandant takes a shine to Anna, and she becomes his personal lover. She is then placed in charge of a brothel for Nazi officers.
Meanwhile, her boyfriend works at a Lebensborn program, and tries to search out Anna, thinking her dead. When they meet, Anna rejects him, then returns to the brothel and kills the commandant out of rage. Anna then travels to a party of SS soldiers and sings a Jewish song. As they react violently, she shoots a general, before being gunned down herself.

Description: Forget about the title as it’s a bit misleading. Teruo Ishii’s Porno jidaigeki – Bohachi bushido isn’t nearly as much of a historical sex flick as it is first rate chambara exploitation film... Think of Lone Wolf and Cub directed by Teruo Ishii and you’ll get the idea. The swordplay is there, the blood is there, the sword wielding naked chicks are there... The budget may be low, but it sure doesn’t show. This is one of the best looking chambara films ever made, all the way from the sunset opening to the stunning final massacre in snow. And, Kazuo Koike, the creator of the Lone Wolf and Cub manga, is there too. Seems like all great chambara films are based on his mangas, lol. The main star Tetsuro Tamba had acquired the rights and convinced Teruo Ishii to helm the live action adaptation.
Personally I consider Bohachi bushido not only one of my favourite exploitation films but also one of the best chambara films in genral. The only real flaws comes in the beginning. The opening sequence is as wild and striking as you’d expect from Ishii, but, also not so surprisingly, the following few scenes aren’t quite as good. Ishii has a nasty habit of relying too much on sex and nudity during the film’s first fourth. This time it’s not as problematic as we have Tetsuro Tamba here who dominates the image with his badass charisma whenever Ishii turns the focus on him and off some chick’s tits. The first 20 minutes is also where most of the film’s story is told.
Once we’re through with the back story part Ishii’s back on the top of his game. Terrific, colorful set ups, violent and nicely choreographed swordplay scenes, maniac characters, naked female bodyguards, ninjas, naked female bodyguards fighting ninjas... The film was a blast when I first saw it, and repeated viewings have only made it better. The dialogue - or mumbling, as the case tends to be with our main character - is often excellent! ”To live is hell, but to die, also, is hell”. Tetsuro Tamba is the ultimate anti hero. He’s the walking definition of ”I don’t give a shit”. He spares a mans life only because he can't be bothered to kill him right now.
The sexual conetent later on in the film is rather interesting too, or at least fun. It’s a sort of wet dream utopia with hight rank officials living in small palaces and being surrounded by naked female servants. Ishii keeps it nicely clean leaves the ugly sleaze out. The women are beautiful and seem to being do it out of their own will, even enjoying it. This is A-grade stuff to piss off the feminists, but also to add to the film's coolness. It works in the same way as some ultra brutal Sonny Chiba films; over the top and hilarious, but not in a laugh out loud kind of way. You take it half seriously but there’s constant small grimm on your face. Sadly some people are unable to see the golden middle course between serious and laughable, but that’s not the film makers fault, is it?
Those who like both pinky violence and swordplay flicks should look no further. This is small glimpse of heaven.

Description: This is a fine example of roughie/hardcore but is too ambitious and ultimately not really able to deliver. Supposedly about voodoo and sexual submission this ends up one big orgy. There are whippings and bondage but neither the cast nor the director seem particularly interested in the theme. So there is too much scrawny scrotum, too much soft d*** and far too much wooden acting. There are, however, some excellent moments and that orgy is something else. Even here, though, it must be said that everybody is far more interested in having a good time than in making a film. So, often the camera angles are obscured or we just miss a slice of the action, but the authenticity and enthusiasm of the participants does compensate. C J Laing and Annie Sprinkle are sadly underused but the rest get plenty of opportunity to show what they are made of particularly a few astonishing moments as Vanessa del Rio shows off her sword swallowing technique.
