in my opinion everyone is capable of giving good advice.
Advice is a form of nostalgia, handed out by people with relative experience, who fish the memories out of the past, dust them off, and recycle them for more then they are worth.

I'm sure that when you get deeper in the life, you'll look back and realize that everything you've learned since this day, you've already known, you simply didn't realize it then...

That is very true. And experience does not have to always be direct, but experience through observation it is much the same in many aspects. Though there are some circumstance when you must actually be speaking from direct experience to give truly useful advice.

Referring to what you said about already knowing, but not realizing it, I agree with you whole heartedly. Makes me remember a few months ago when I realized how at home I felt with this lifestyle. Or at least what I've experienced. lol

Most of the time, during BDSM play, I wear a basic rubber ball gag. I've been fine so far, but it doesn't stop me worrying

Anyway, does anyone else have any weird reactions to rubber ball gags, or have any experience combining these with tongue piercing bars and perhaps some advice if necessary?

ANYWAY...

I'm going to look into how much bondage tape costs, and if I can get some, wrap it around the middle of a strip of material until it's around the same thickness as my current ball. I was going to do this with the multi-purpose tape I just got, but not sure if that'd be safe...any ideas?

Mulitpurpose tape? About the only thing I can think of, if walk around with a piece in your mouth, the tape, and see how it feels. If it feels weird, don't use it.

Before you go and use that much tape to cover something, you might want to do what Prissy said and see if it feels right. Also, couldn't you just use the tape to make one layer of it on your current gag? Or even better yet, saran wrap (cling wrap, as you say it).

What is probably the problem with the ball gag, is it is latex. latex sort of slowly decays and releases its chemicals in a gas. If you can find one, get a ball gag made of silicone, you should not experience that burning with latex. They are more expensive though. And you won't have that latex smell.
